Davco has initiated a Training Competency Program to verify worker competency. Davco’s Training Passport measures theory, training and worker demonstration of skills until, they are deemed competent. Competency is assessed for the various areas of work and type of equipment each worker is exposed to. The Passport is used as a personal development tool, records training and experience and records reviews of Safe Work Procedures and Job Procedures. Davco’s Joint Health and Safety Committee ensure s that the concerns of workers are represented to management. The Committee develops and promotes measures to protect the health and safety of persons at the worksite as outlined in the OHS Act.

Davco is committed to a strong safety program that protects employees, property and the public from incidents. Daily and monthly safety meetings, plus the Davco Orientation process for new employees, strives to infuse a 'walk the talk' approach to safety.
Our goal is to achieve and maintain an injury and accident free workplace. This means that all potential hazards are assessed and every effort is made to eliminate them in order to ensure all employees get home safely. Through continuous safety and loss control efforts, we can accomplish this.
